Rap Icon Kurtis Blow saved by LAPD Officers

Rap icon Kurtis Blow, the first rapper to sign with a major label, collapsed last weekend outside a Southern California mall.

According to the news reports,  Walker was outside the Topanga Mall Saturday night when a security guard called police to report an argument between the rapper and another man, who officers later determined was Blow's son.

Four LAPD officers performed CPR until paramedics arrived.  Happily, Kurtis Walker is currently recovering in at a local hospital.

Last month these brave Construction workers took a photo from atop a spire 1,099 feet above the ground in Los Angeles.

The iron workers who built the spire for the Wilshire Grand Center posed atop it in the photo.

The spire is 294-foot, 9-inches and marks a milestone achievement in the construction of the Wilshire Grand tower — now officially the tallest building west of the Mississippi.

To accomplish this mind-boggling feat the men climbed an internal maintenance ladder all the way to the top and were harnessed to the inside and outside of the structure, Kramer said.

The tower is expected to open in March of 2017.
